There are certain songs in your life, that no matter what company you happen to be keeping when you hear it… you just have to sing at least a part of it. They may not always be the best songs of all time, but for whatever reason you are physically compelled to belt out that one certain part. You know the one.

As I drove home last night, despite the crushing 104 degree heat, the ZZ Top song “Cheap Sunglasses” came on the radio. Now first of all I haven’t heard that song probably since the dorms in the 80’s.

This song and the whole album for that matter is a wailer. It can’t be helped. Within 10 seconds I was shaking my head and looking a fool to the cars passing me and I absolutely could not stop myself from singing  the “oh yeah” parts at the top of my lungs.

Rhinestone shades and cheap sunglasses… OH YEAH… OH YEAH… OH YEAH!!

Another that has an obligatory sing along part is Jane’s Addiction “Jane Says”. Every time I hear that song I am just waiting for Perry to sing “she take a swing man”… I defy you to not sing the “SHE CAN’T HIT” part. It is impossible.
