Revolution with a side of Led Zeppelin

We all were able to sit down tonight and watch the Revolution episode that “featured” the music of Led Zeppelin.

Truth be told, I couldn’t wait and had to read the reviews of the episode before we watched it. I have to say I was a little cynical about the hype and the motive behind using Zeppelin songs. I had to soften a bit when I read this:

Seems not only is the creator of the show using the songs (of which there were actually only 2 – “Since I’ve Been Loving You” and “Kashmir”) because he is a huge Zeppelin fan, in actuality it seems that it was the Zeppelin powers that be that contacted the TV company to see if any shows would be interested in using songs from the new Led Zep Live CD and DVD “Celebration Day”. There was blurb about the Zeppelin release at the end of the episode. All in all it was interesting, though the snippets of the 2 songs were barely a full minute and a half.

They were cool though.

Next season I recommend some Naked City cuts.
