Technology.
I bemoaned the technology side of this concert, with no ticket stubs since the tickets were only on my phone. High Tech age kills the ticket stub.
However…
as it turns out, technology also helped to keep memories of the event alive post concert.
I happened across this article in JamBase after the show:
https://www.jambase.com/article/smashing-pumpkins-the-cure-cover-madison-video
it has embedded links to songs from the show! It never occurred to me to look for that, but once I thought about it, every 3rd person there was filming with their phones. Of COURSE there would be videos.
Check out this playlist of videos from the show:
I also found the set list so I knew what all the songs were on setlist.fm
https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-smashing-pumpkins/2018/the-sylvee-madison-wi-7397229d.html
and also some good pics from this article

so there is a pretty good record of the event in the web-o-sphere. So I may not have a ticket stub, but I can see the exact performances I saw that night, which is stellar.
We have the set list itself from The Sylvee Facebook page.
The second encore they did “Siva” not the 2 songs listed above.
Lastly, to finish up the 3rd part of this post… keep your eyes on the Internet Archive for The Smashing Pumpkins:

There is a chance that someone there at The Sylvee that night was taping. Having the audio of the full show would be awesome.
Hooray technology!
(I still want paper tickets though)
