Merry Christmas From The Aural Retentive – 2019

Just wanted to reach out and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

The year goes fast, and there are so many times when you forget to slow down and enjoy it. Our year has been interesting and not without challenges, but we finally got our tree up.

Yeah, not all the lights are working, and frankly… we don’t care. This is the last year for this tree (new one from Costco with built in lights with a remote to change colors) and we haven’t played a single Christmas CD this season yet.

Like I said, there were challenges.

Today however, I intend to break out my Christmas vinyl purchase for the year.

Note the Christmas shrimp thawing.

This pressing is on festive green vinyl.

My parents never owned this album, but I did love watching “A Charlie Brown Christmas” as a kid and that is the feeling this album gives me. Of all the animated Christmas holiday favorites for kids, this one has always stuck with me. I also love the Johnny Mathis Christmas album, this one my parents DID have, and I bought that one a year or two back. It sent me down memory lane to a good place and feeling.

That is the feeling I hope to carry forward into the new year. New decade, LESS challenges and great new adventures.

Hope your Christmas is great and your next year is even better.

Merry Christmas!
